1. Configure the fields in the Cover section:
Width (mm) - The measurement of the cover from side to side in millimeters
Height (mm) - The measurement of the cover from top to bottom in millimeters
Bleed (mm) - The measurement of expansion for the text or image outside the designated
printed area, which is calculated using the cover width and height
Page Count - The number of pages
Paper Grade - The thickness of the substrate/paper (ex. measured in page per inch,
also referred to as PPI, or micrometer)
Paper Type - Type of substrate/paper that the PSP uses (ex. 80GSM Uncoated Ivory)
Page Method - Can be set to one of the following: Exact, where an exact number of pages is entered for the Page Count and is expected for the books linked to this Specification, or Multiple, where a multiple number of pages is set in the Page Count and the multiple is expected for the books linked to this Specification.
Preflight profile - The standard Preflight profiles used in most production settings are available for selection within HP Piazza. The HP recommended Preflight profile for both the Cover and Text components is the HP Piazza X-4 profile. This profile was built by HP color experts and customized to resolve common issues found across a wide set of files. The settings in this preflight profile are intended to enable the files to meet most modern-day production standards.
Lamination - The bonding plastic used on the cover, which can be set to Gloss, Matte, or None
Foiling - Using foil stock/paper for the cover. Foil stock is a paper option that allows your entire cover to be made of foil. Foil stock comes in silver base, and UV inks are used in the print process to create shiny metallic colors of near-infinite variety.
Simplex - If selected, printing on one side of the page, or if not selected then printing on both sides of the page (Duplex)
2. Click to open the Text section.
3. Configure the fields in the Text section.

Page Count - The number of pages

Barcode - These are all of the fields that are used to determine the type, positioning, and size of a barcode to place on the book. When this checkbox is clicked, the following options appears:

4. Click the Add Component menu below the Cover and Text options to add a Wrap component and/or Band component, if the Specification is a Case Bound type.
The Wrap and Band component fields are the same as the Cover component. The Wrap refers to the cover paper that goes around a hard cover book. The Band refers to the belly band that goes around a hard cover book. A belly band is a paper strip that wraps around the book. It can be made in any desired width, and printed or not.
5. Click the Save button.
If there are issues in a Specification (for example the trim size was entered incorrectly), all titles that reference that Specification will need to be removed in order to change that Specification.
